CASE STUDIES
SCRIPT REWRITES & ANIMATION GUIDE TRACKS
We were approached by an Asian company to rewrite their franchise of animated films (based on their original IP).
They wanted us to provide a more international appeal to their region’s stories and dialogue.
These rewrites were also accompanied by a guide track, requested to allow the animators an understanding of how the dialogue should be conveyed (English not being their first language)
These requests were accommodated around their tight deadlines, prioritising the script rewrites to allow executive sign off, before switching to producer/director mode to lead and deliver the recording of the dialogue guide track.
IP DEVELOPMENT & SCRIPT BIBLES
We are frequently hired as writers to develop material based on existing IP (but occasionally original ideas too) into animation and live-action TV series.
A leading European toy company wanted to develop their ‘creative’ toy into an animated TV series and gave us free reign to shape the concept, stories, and lore with imagination as the guiding principle behind it.
Focused upon this ‘imagination’ theme, we built characters, back story and story goals from that creative core, delivered as a bible and two sample scripts, which are now in the hands of broadcaster partners.
TV SERIES PRODUCTION, IN BESPOKE STUDIO
We created a bespoke dog-friendly studio for our own live-action pre-school sitcom ‘Dog Years’.
We worked from the ground up finding a suitable warehouse to accommodate our filming needs, creating a studio floor plan, supervising the set-build, and even designed a custom-made lighting rig!
The onscreen value of ‘Dog Years’ was maximised using all the expertise gained from our low-budget film background. Such as investing only in what really mattered to this single production – reducing overheads by 45%!
‘Dog Years’ is now streaming worldwide on several platforms, including Amazon Prime and Kidoodle TV.
