AI tools are changing fast. As filmmakers, we're genuinely curious about what they can (and can't) do, so we're testing, learning, and sharing what we find.
We are most excited about how AI can supplement the stories that people want to tell and adds to the creative work that people are passionate to make. We enjoy writing, voice over performance, working with actors on performance capture and editing. We try to retain those creative parts of the process using AI to fit around those cornerstones.
Here is our first experiment, an AI stop-motion animation series, using the classic morality tales of Aesop's Fables as inspiration. We made 4 x 2' episodes in total. The AI output was unpredictable at times but overall we were surprised and impressed by the results, giving us confidence about further potential.
