A comedy cosy crime series
from the mind of Kimberley Nixon
6x50 mins
A neurodivergent single mum becomes an unlikely sleuth by using the disarming quirks of her personality to crack unusual cases.
WATCH THE TEST SCENE!
In the scene, Kimberley plays Dilwen Pugh, the main character in HeadCase. With her disarming and distracting nature, she questions a smarmy businessman (played by Sean Pogmore) about his role in the death of Dil's neighbour, Madge.
Why a test scene? We wanted to showcase the character of Dil 'at work' but also experiment with a filming technique which we call Dil-O-Vision.
It's representative of Kimberley's OCD and neurodivergent nature: a sensation of light and information distracting her at key moments. But, as Dil, it ultimately helps her figure out all the clues.
Curious clues, oddball characters, outlandish situations – all in a gorgeous location.
HeadCase is…
-
Cosy – but unexpected
-
Bonkers – but heart-warming
-
Irreverent – but never insulting
-
Zany – but always focused on solving the crime
